Air Canada offers daily direct flights from Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto year- round. Additional direct flights are offered from Toronto and Montréal during the summer.
West Jet offers direct service from Toronto on a year round basis with additional flights from May to October.
Northwest Airlines provides direct daily non-stop service from Detroit from June 22 to September 30.
Delta Airlines provides non-stop flights from June 19 to September 7, from Boston and New York (JFK International) to Charlottetown .
Northumberland Ferries departs from Caribou, Nova Scotia and Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island on a regular schedule. The 75- minute trip can be spent enjoying a chat and a snack, lounging on the deck or soaking up the sunshine and fresh sea air. The fare for the ferry is paid when leaving the Island.
The Confederation Bridge is a 13-km engineering phenomenon. It’s a very quick, convenient and dramatic way to arrive or depart the Island. Connecting from New Brunswick, The Bridge is open 24 hours a day and takes approximately 12 minutes to cross. Tolls are collected when leaving the Island.
Summer temperatures usually range around high 20°C (70°F) to mid 30°C (90°F), with minimal humidity. Light summer apparel is recommended. Autumn is clear and bright, with temperature from 8°C to 22°C (46°F to 72°F). You will need a hat and mitts if you come to enjoy wintertime as temperatures can range from -3°C to - 22°C (25°F to 11°F). Spring is comfortable much like fall; 8°C to - 22°C (46°C to - 72°C)
